GETTING CHINA CLOSE TO VIENNA

Intercultural communication is indispensable nowadays.

With the ties between Austria and the Peoples’ Republic of China getting closer and more and more Chinese tourists coming to our country, it is necessary for future tourism professionals to develop a better understanding for the customs and traditions of our far eastern guests.

Shi Wei, comes from Chongqing, China and now is a MBA student of MODUL University Vienna, gladly took the role of a teacher for a couple of hours to give our students insight into Chinese culture and language.

The students of the Diploma Course (Kolleg) learned about Chinese cuisine, table manners, business etiquette and many more about cultural differences. A short language course including greeting, introducing oneself and brief introduction of Pinyin rounded off the course programme.

The response of our students was so positive that we will ask Shi Wei hold a similar seminar for other students of MODUL.

跨文化交流在今天是必不可少的。 

随着中国与奥地利的关系日益密切，越来越多的中国游 客来到我国旅游。因此对于我国未来的旅游业精英们来说，深入了解来自遥远东方的客人们的风俗习惯与传统就显得必不可少。

石蔚，来自中国重庆，现在是维也纳MODUL大学MBA学生，非常乐意的担任了几小时老师的角色，为本校的学生们带来了一堂生动的中国文化以及中文 学习课。

酒店管理国际课程的学生们从这堂课上了解了中国的饮食文化，餐桌礼仪，商务礼 仪以及其他有文化差异的地方。简短的中文课程包括了问候语，自我介绍，以及有关拼音的基础知识。

这次成功的尝试激发了本校的学生们对文 化交流课的兴趣，因此我们会邀请石蔚为其他的学生做类似的交流课程。
