Training Courses

Customised training courses of further education:

  • The Tourism College MODUL organises tailor-made seminars and training courses.
  • Duration and seminar contents are determined in cooperation with the partner.
  • Each seminar is individually designed according to the needs and requirements of the target group.
  • Target groups comprise professionals of the hospitality and tourism industry from rank-and-file workers to managers, as well as teachers, trainers and students of educational institutes.
  • The number of participants per seminar ranges from 1 to 20.
  • Languages of instruction are English and German; interpretation into other languages can be organised.
  • MODUL teachers and trainers of these seminars are academics as well as experts from the hospitality and tourism industry.
  • Teaching material is especially developed for each seminar.
  • After successful completion of the seminar each participant is awarded a certificate issued by the Tourism College MODUL.
  • Additional services provided by the MODUL team include: accommodation, transfer from and to the airport, meals, visits to hotels, restaurants and tourist operations, tickets for public transport, visits to places of tourist interest and many more.
  • Prices for seminars are individually calculated.

Examples of successful seminars organised by MODUL:

Seminars for Chinese teachers of hotel and tourism management: Until now five seminars for twenty persons each have taken place at the Tourism College MODUL. Each seminar lasts six weeks and comprises tuition as well as a varied programme of excursions and visits.

Teaching contents include school organisation and management, teaching methods, new media and business-related issues.

Five seminars of the same type are planned for the coming two years.

Seminars for Iranian hotel professionals working in middle-management positions:

After four seminars held by MODUL experts in Tehran, the best twelve participants were elected to take part in a three-week training seminar at the Tourism College MODUL in Vienna. On their visit to the Iran in autumn 2009 Ms Habitzl and Mr Wagner were proud to see that the seminars had helped the participants to climb up the career ladder.

Further similar training cycles are planned.

Series of 10 one-week training seminars for Ukrainian students of tourism colleges:

The aim of these seminars was to get young Ukrainians acquainted with Western standards in hospitality and tourism.
