MODUL IN CHINA – THE MODUL PROGRAMME AT THE BEIJING BUSINESS SCHOOL

Since 2006 the prestigious Beijing Business School (BBS) has been running an International Programme for Hospitality designed and accredited by the Tourism College MODUL.

The 60 students that are admitted to the course every year follow a curriculum that was specially developed for this programme. Unlike in other Chinese vocational schools the focus of the MODUL programme is on Western cuisine and English for the hospitality industry. Theoretic and practical subjects form an ideal synthesis.

Apart from defining teaching contents, objectives and methods, the MODUL team also trained the representatives of the BBS management and selected teachers in Vienna. A strict scheme of quality control has been implemented that includes regular evaluations by MODUL representatives. In addition, a former graduate from MODUL, Mr Stefan Trautsch, acts as a teacher of English and trainer of Western cuisine at the BBS.

Recently BBS has succeeded in signing a contract with Swissôtel, which enables MODUL students to gain intensive hands-on experience in a five-star international hotel.
