LOOK, LISTEN AND LEARN – THIS YEAR’S STUDY TRIP TO THE BIG APPLE

22 students of the different MODUL programmes and 2 teachers (Ms Habitzl and Mr Wagner) explored the different faces and attractions of New York in a 7 days’ study trip.

The itinerary was comprehensive, including attendance of classes at our partner institute, the New York City College of Technology, visits of outstanding hotels, like the Mandarin Oriental and the Standard, walking tours through trendy neighbourhoods, like the Meatpacking District and DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overdrive), classic sightseeing in Lower Manhattan, Chinatown, Greenwich and Harlem and of course sampling local culinary specialities. Some students also boosted the sales of local clothes shops, like Abercrombie and Fitch.

On the occasion of two meals hosted by the New York College we gained an insight into the organization of practical training at our partner institute.

The New York trip was a memorable journey, not only for our students, but also for the president and faculty of the NYCTT who praised our students of being independent, mature and well behaved.

We thank the New York City College of Technology for the support in organizing this trip and we are looking forward to welcoming their students and faculty at MODUL and to extending our hospitality to them.
