ICHM première at UNWG Bazaar

ICHM was proud to help organize the Austrian Stand at this year’s United Nations Women’s Guild Charity Bazaar on December 3, 2011. Together with the Strohmayer family from Genuss-Region Breitenbrunn, ICHM sold the Strohmayer’s homemade cherry products (jams, vinegar, organic juices), beer and wine as well as traditional Christmas Stollen made at the Tourism College Modul. ICHM 1 and 3 students Kimberly Derby, Marlena Fischleder, Denise Mallmann, Christoph Löger, Lillian Namutebi, Kiran Nair, Brigitta Rajk and Andreas Schebrek worked in two shifts. Thanks to Dr. Susanne von Amelunxen, Event Manager for ICHM International Day, and Mr. Johann Fürhacker, Head of Practical Training at Modul, for initiating this cooperation with the UNWG and to ICHM students for making this day a great success for everyone involved!

This annual charity event was open to the public with free admission and there were thousands of visitors. Many came for the delicious food stands with authentic national specialities, or to buy presents at the international or charity craft stalls.  ICHM also presented its 2 year diploma program to the international audience. We’re looking forward to making this an annual event for ICHM!
